welcome P.J & Deborah hicks!

It is with great excitement and thanks to God that the Whitney Church of Christ is announcing that P.J. Hicks will be joining the ministry team as the pulpit minister.  P.J. comes to us with more than three decades of service in the Lord’s church both here in the United States and abroad.  Together with his wife, Deborah, they are greatly looking forward to beginning their work here in Central Texas, with an anticipated date of June 29th as his first official sermon to be delivered here.

We also want to take this moment to express our profound gratitude to Bruce Martin and his lovely wife Debbie for the years of service and leadership they have provided.  While we are sad to know they are going to be spending more time away from us, we know they are excited to see a new chapter in their lives, continuing to work in the Lord’s church, and we wish them both well.

All of us desire a home. We are all in search of a place where we can, for a moment, turn off the world and focus on God. Whitney Church of Christ is that home, as it has been since 1875. Tucked away in the community of Whitney, Texas surrounded by fields and Lake Whitney itself, this church of believers strives every day to look like the spiritual kingdom established by the Son of God over 2,000 years ago.
